BASKETBALL TOUR TO CAPE TOWN

The Ridge had its first Basketball tour during half term in Hout Bay, Western Cape. The boys had a great time in preparation for the 2020 season.

PARTNERSHIP OF HOPE FUND-RAISER

The Marimba boys showed off their skills at the Partnership of Hope Fund-Raiser. The event was held at the Circa Gallery in Rosebank.

After the magnificent win over England, the JP boys decided to continue the celebrations for one more day.

GRADE 5 RUGBY COMPETITION

Prior to the start of the recent incredible Rugby World Cup in Japan, the Grade 5s organised a Rugby World Cup Lucky Draw competition. The purpose of the competition was two-fold: firstly to raise money for our Ridge Rhinos; and secondly to create a spirit of interest, fun and banter for the duration of the tournament. Boys entered the competition and were randomly assigned a team or a couple of teams, depending on how many times they entered. Throughout the tournament, boys kept up with results, and kept a keen eye on which of them were still in the running to claim prizes by the end of the World Cup. Ten boys were lucky enough to have got South Africa as their team and won Nu Metro movie vouchers : Christopher Allen, William Boland, Tom Bottger, Luke Holden, Joshua Roesch, Matthew Samuels-Duvel, Sam Sargent, Griffin Schroder, Joshua Stapylton-Smith and Andrew Turvey.

A massive thank-you to the Grade 5 class moms that were so involved in generating spirit for this initiative as well as organising such wonderful prizes. And then lastly, keeping in mind our main focus in raising money for our Ridge Rhinos: as a Grade 5 group we raised slightly over R4000. Well done Grade 5s!
